Description
An overshirt you’ll still be wearing in 10 years
As its name suggests, an overshirt is worn over another garment. It can be worn as a sweater or a jacket. You can also wear it over a hoodie or a t-shirt. We chose a straight cut and a timeless style.
Style is in the details
The wrist is one of our signatures. We’ve worked it so you can wear it closed, open or rolled up. Either way, it will always be impeccable.
Collar and pocket
We wanted a collar not buttoned and small for a better support. On the chest is a pocket, heart side. No need to search for your glasses, they will always be in the right place.
100% recycled yarn
Why produce new materials when we know that 100,000 tons of clothes are thrown away every year? At LATER… we make do with what exists. No dye is added!
That’s why we think of clothing differently. Also, it passes by the wool sheet that we use. It is obtained only from old textiles. Once defibered, La filature du parc in Brassac, in the South of France, makes new spools. A way to give life to a stock of clothes destined to be destroyed.
A unique quality woolen sheet
Our wool sheet adopts the characteristics of a traditional wool flannel. From its soft feel to its thickness that makes the piece warm and comfortable, it meets many of our requirements, the first being quality. You can wear the Epure for a long time, the wool sheet is not ready to run out of steam.
The weaving is done in Castres, at Pierre Calvet. For L’Epure, we chose a blend of recycled wool (70%) and recycled polyamide (25%). The rest is obtained from other fibers, already present in the fabrics before they are recycled.
Buttons made of milk!
For the buttons, we chose a material that was commonly used in the late nineteenth century: milk casein. Also called galalith, or milkstone, it has the particularity of being very solid and porous, which allows it to be dyed in all possible colors. L’Epure has seven of them, from the collar to the bottom of the buttonhole.
A returnable overshirt !
And if you no longer wear L’Epure, for whatever reason or age, we’ll buy it back from you. The deposit is set at 15% of the sale price. This prevents a piece from sleeping in a closet and gives it a second life.
Produce small quantities, locally
Logical continuation of the use of old textiles to realize our wool sheet, we make the choice of a close production, using local know-how. All our pieces are produced in very small quantities in order to control our stock as much as possible. From the thread to the fabric and the buttons, all the steps of the Epure production are made in France and in Portugal. This choice allows us to know personally the people who make our overshirts. We can thus build strong links with our partners but also ensure ourselves of the working conditions.
Size guide
For the size, it’s simple: choose L’Épure in your usual size. If you are between two sizes, the lower one will give the jacket a slightly more fitted look while the upper one will be straight.
Pape is 183 cm and wears a M.
Clara is 173 cm tall and wears a S.
If in doubt, here is the size guide to help you choose your Epure. Or you can also contact us by email or on our social networks to get a personalized answer.

A desire to make a difference
When we launched Later…, we started from an observation: we do not really know what we consume. Where do the materials come from? Where are they transformed? In which conditions? In which pockets does our money go?
With Later… we want to bring a total transparency. We wish to allow the customer to understand what he buys but, especially, to understand our approach, our choices and our way of producing.
Later… , is a life project. It is the desire to give meaning to clothes, but also to the world of fashion. To get as close as possible to our values, to what motivates us every day: respecting the environment, respecting people. For this, our pieces are entirely made from 100% recycled fabrics. We also rely on local know-how to offer quality, durable and timeless clothing.
