Buying LATER... means making a commitment
Wearing LATER… means supporting fashion that reuses textile waste, prioritizes local and sustainable production, and values craftsmanship. One overshirt, three powerful ideas: recycle, produce better, and create lasting human connections.
3 ideas you support by wearing your LATER… overshirt
Wearing LATER… is first and foremost about treating yourself to a piece you feel good in, and that's the most important thing. But that's not all. Buying a LATER garment also means adhering to values and defending an economic model that more fairly distributes wealth and limits its impact on our planet.
Let's reuse our waste!
100% RECYCLED MATERIALS
100,000 tonnes of clothing are discarded each year; this is our raw material. Our fabrics are made exclusively from old clothes. Specifically, our spinner buys clothes too worn to be used as is, defibers them using a unique process, turns them into wadding from which he makes new yarn. All this is done without any added dye! It is this 100% recycled yarn that is then used to weave our exclusive wool broadcloth and cotton flannels.
Let's produce less and better
SMALL QUANTITIES, HIGH QUALITY
Producing less and more often means, first of all, producing just enough. At LATER…, we chose to move away from seasonal collections in favor of more frequent small productions. This is also our economic reality, imposed by a reasonable margin.
Quality is inseparable from the pleasure of wearing a garment. Precision of finishes, feel of materials, robustness of seams, or comfort when worn. Every detail contributes to the emotion a beautiful piece provides. It is also a guarantee of durability, without which all our efforts to limit our impact would be in vain.
Let's maintain relationships
PRODUCING LOCALLY
What matters to us in the notion of local production, in addition to the number of kilometers our clothes travel before you wear them, is the proximity we can create with our partners.
In France, as in Portugal, we have developed a unique complicity with each of the workshops that contribute to the creation of our garments. In addition to making our exchanges pleasant, it is the fertile ground for our imagination to bring forth innovative solutions to the challenges we have set for ourselves (quality, recycled materials, fair price).
Milk buttons, reusable packages, deposit scheme, wearing LATER... is also many other things that you can discover.
