An artistic encounter with Alon Katz, the flame of Ecuador in the heart of Paris
Meet Alon Katz , an Ecuadorian artist based in Paris, whose vibrant world blends art and fashion. 🎨
An authentic collaboration where personal expression and creativity meet the LATER spirit… .
An artist with a vibrant soul
At LATER…, we are particularly drawn to the creative world of those who transcend boundaries in search of a unique form of expression. That's why we are delighted to introduce Alon Katz, a painter whose story and worldview deeply resonate with our values.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Egon Schiele and Oswaldo Guayasamin, Alon captures powerful postures and expressions that invite introspection.
For him, colors are not merely tools; they are the language through which he communicates the emotions and stories of the people he paints.
An identity shaped by Latin America
With his Ecuadorian roots, Alon, as an artist, has always been in contact with a diversity of social backgrounds, ranging from disadvantaged areas to the most privileged. These experiences have helped him build a nuanced worldview, deeply rooted in Latin American reality.
Color has played a central role in his life since childhood. It reflects both the vibrant landscapes of Ecuador and the social tensions he has faced. This duality is translated into his works through an audacious use of contrasts and nuances, which tell the silent stories of those he has encountered.
The Call of Paris
A year ago, Alon made a bold decision: he left Ecuador to settle in Paris, a vibrant and creative city. This move allowed him not only to evolve his art but also to discover a new passion: fashion.
For Alon, the way one presents oneself to the world through clothing is an art form in itself, an extension of oneself. This innate sense of proportion and color, which he had developed in his pictorial works, quickly translated into his dressing style.
Paris offered him the opportunity to meet inspiring people and to connect his art with his style, thus creating harmony between the two.
The meeting between LATER… and Alon
The encounter with Alon happened very naturally. One day, during a pop-up LATER… in Paris, Alon fell in love with one of our pieces. This meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful adventure. The connection quickly formed around creative discussions and mutual admiration for our respective worlds.
Very quickly, it became clear to us that we had to work together. We then gave him carte blanche to appropriate some of our pieces and integrate them into his artistic universe. The idea was simple: let Alon express his style and vision through a selection of pieces from the PRE-FALL 24 drop, while creating visual content that would embody this collaboration.
An artistic view of fashion
This encounter goes beyond a simple influence campaign. Working with Alon means exploring the blurred line between art and fashion, and seeing how these two worlds can meet and enrich each other.
Alon successfully integrated our pieces into his visual universe, adding his personal touch, thus creating a new visual narrative around our clothes.
We are proud to collaborate with an artist like him, whose vision of fashion perfectly aligns with the LATER… spirit: audacious, creative, and deeply rooted in self-expression.
