A TEXTILE WORKSHOP TO HELP INTEGRATE REFUGEES
In September, when we moved into our new offices in Rennes, 400 metres away, Espero set up its first textile workshop in Brittany…
The association’s mission is to help refugees return to work by using their skills to make ready-to-wear garments.
As well as being a great opportunity for LATER… to create parts very (very) locally, it is first and foremost a great opportunity to benefit from these skills, which have become rare in our region.
RE-USE FOR EMPLOYMENT
For a few months now, we’ve been looking for ways to use the small scraps of fabric from our tests for our prototypes. So it was only natural that the Espero seamstresses should use these recycled pieces of fabric to create upcycled pouches made in Rennes.
Thank you to Isabelle, Asseljan, Marietou, Elvira, Galina, Natalya, Afsara, Maëlle and Marion for all their hard work!
And to kick off this partnership, which is particularly close to our hearts, we’re giving you a free pouch for every €250 you spend on our website before Christmas.
Within the limits of available fabric scraps…
